Since Derrick is interning at Microsoft this summer in Mountain View, CA the company sent him to a intern weekend in Redmond, WA. They provided all the accomodations (plane ticket, hotel, food money and rental car) so we just decided to buy me a plane ticket and make a vacation out of it. While we were there we went to the company picnic at a beautiful farm, crossed the Canadian border to go to Derrick's old roommate's wedding reception, visited some friends, walked around Gasworks park and tried a few fun restaurants. We even stayed in a Marriot! Microsoft was great to us.
