Car Break In

Derrick just uploaded the pictures he had on his cell phone. Here was another interesting thing that happened in the beginning of June. Some people broke into Derrick's car through the window, stole the cd player, a cd case and a gift card we had. Derrick's backpack was in the car with his laptop inside. They unzipped the backpack but for some reason they left it. Lucky.



No more cd player :(

Scrapbooking

Right now we're putting together Derrick's missionary scrapbook. Our living room is a mess because of it and so far we're only on Transfer 2 but Derrick's really happy we're finally organizing his memories.

Seattle Trip

Since Derrick is interning at Microsoft this summer in Mountain View, CA the company sent him to a intern weekend in Redmond, WA. They provided all the accomodations (plane ticket, hotel, food money and rental car) so we just decided to buy me a plane ticket and make a vacation out of it. While we were there we went to the company picnic at a beautiful farm, crossed the Canadian border to go to Derrick's old roommate's wedding reception, visited some friends, walked around Gasworks park and tried a few fun restaurants. We even stayed in a Marriot! Microsoft was great to us.

Baseball Game

We went with some friends to the LDS night Giants game vs. my beloved Padres. I was rooting for San Diego while Derrick was going for the home team. Padres won!!!

Utah Trip

Well, since we're just starting our blog I thought I'd begin by adding in a few fun things we did this summer. In June we went to Utah to visit Derrick's family. We hiked Bell Canyon Falls, camped at Jordenelle, hung out with some of Derrick's high school friends and some of our friends from college. Our friend from Stanford, Johnathon, was driving through Utah and we took him to Temple Square in Salt Lake City. Most of all we had a great time hanging out with family.
